Nowadays we are Homo Connecticus. Smartphones, pads and  smartwatches are all designed to serve one and only purpose : get us connected everywhere at any time. This hyper connectivity, however, has led to a new way of walking ….

All skull and thumb we are the new mankind.

We are Homo connecticus….

Always connected….

How on earth can Homo connecticus not fall when walking on such paths ? That’s a mystery…
How on earth can Homo connecticus not fall when walking on such paths ? That’s a mystery…

We spend most of our “free or not” time staring at our smartphone screens, getting our thumb to work  like a dog without any rest.

We walk head down, checking our mails, sending text messages, making sure that we can find that steak and kidney pie recipe before next Sunday lunch or simply looking at our nav sat to find our way to our next destination. And of course, I did not mention all the other actions we can undertake on our smartphone while walking : Buying gig tickets, downloading music, watching a movie, liking a page or a picture and the list never ends….

And what is even more amazing is that we almost manage not to hit any obstacle while doing so…Because, of course, when we stare at our smartphone we don’t look where we are going….

Hitting a post, a shop window, somebody else could occur at any time…And then it does not !

How on earth can Homo connecticus do that ?

Miraculous ? Maybe!

Above all when we see the states of some paths we get on….
